Product Storage

• Recommended storage temperature is 5 to 25⁰ C
• Do not store continuously at temperatures above 40⁰C

TREATMENT SUGGESTIONS FOR SHRIMP HATCHERY TANKS, APPLIED TO THE TANK WATER

Option 1: Direct Application

1. Shake product in original bag before using product settles during shipment.
2. Hydrate Promegabiotic – f- HM by diluting 100g in at least 1 liter of fresh water that is free of chlorine and disinfectants.
3. Mix vigorously to homogenize the solution.
4. Apply the PromegaBiotic f –HM mixture evenly over the surface of the tank.
5. Do not allow the hydrated product to remain unused for more than 30 minutes.

The following treatment does are suggested. The conditions of each laboratory are different so these does must be adjusted for each case.

 Preventive Dose

• Day before stocking tanks             2ppm
• N₅                                                                                 2ppm
• Z₁  to M₃                                            3ppm/day
• PL₁ to PL₅                                          4ppm/ day
• PL₆ until harvest                              5ppm/day

 Corrective Dose

1. In case of high levels of Vibrio and other pathogenic bacteria
2. Zoea to Mysis :apply 3 ppm every 8hours until controlled
3. PL: Apply 5ppm every 8 hours until controlled
4. In case of bioluminescence :apply 10ppm every 12 hours until controlled.

TREATMENT SUGGRSTIONS FOR MATURATION AND ARTEMIA HATCHING TANKS

5. In Artemia hatching tanks :4ppm
6. In spawning tanks : 4ppm to tank water.
7. Maturation feed : 2 g per kg of feed.

Option 2 : Pre –Incubation :

This option is not recommended.  However due to its widespread use, here we describe the most appropriate way to do it.  It is important to note that this protocol is specific to PromegaBiotic – f and different from those that may work for other products.

• Shake product in original bag before using product settles during shipment.
• In a clean container, mix the following ingredients maintaining exactly the indicated proportion.

1. For every 1g of PromegaBiotic –f, HM
2. Use 1g of BacterBloom –N (alternatively you can use 5g of pre-boiled molasses or Bacter Bloom –N)
3. And a minimum of 0.3 liters of filtered fresh or salt water free of chlorine and disinfectants.

• Homogenize the mixture very well using a clean paddle, do not use your hands to mix.

Immediately begin to aerate the mixture using a diffuser stone with good air flow.

The optimal incubation range is 8 to 24 hours.  DO NOT exceed 24 hours as this will have a negative effect on the effectiveness of the product.  If you exceed this time , you will probably see a greater number of colonies, but they will be colonies of a single species and not of the 5 species that make up the product, drastically reducing its effectiveness.

• 3 years if stored as recommended.
